About Xavier Colin Bartlett

Xavier Colin Bartlett is a dynamic fast bowler from the Gold Coast, renowned for his ability to swing the new ball in both directions at pace. This skill has established him as a significant threat at the start of the innings across all three formats of the game.

Born in Adelaide, Bartlett moved to Queensland with his family during his childhood. He progressed through the state’s age-group ranks and made his first XI Premier Cricket debut for the Gold Coast Dolphins at the age of 17.

The right-armer’s early career highlights include representing Australia at the 2018 Under-19 World Cup. Later that year, he made his one-day debut for the Queensland Bulls, subsequently earning his first Sheffield Shield cap at the start of the 2019-20 season.

Bartlett initially gained recognition in the Big Bash League during the 2020-21 season, where he delivered impactful performances in short bursts under the league’s temporary ‘X-factor’ rule. He soon evolved into a consistent and vital member of the Brisbane Heat bowling attack.

After playing a key role in the team’s run to the BBL|12 final, Bartlett became the competition’s leading wicket-taker the following season, helping Brisbane secure the championship title.

Following his outstanding domestic performance, Bartlett earned his international debut for Australia. He made an immediate impact in his first One Day International at the MCG, claiming a wicket with only his third delivery.
