Megan Peta Banting is a talented wicketkeeper and middle-order batter who has emerged as an exciting prospect for the Western Fury.
Banting’s journey in representative cricket began early; she made her state debut at just 14 years of age during an Under-15s fixture in which Western Australia defeated New South Wales. Her progression continued as she demonstrated her capabilities at the 2012 Under-18 national titles, where she accumulated 86 runs across the tournament, highlighted by a notable score of 26 in the fifth-place playoff against South Australia.
Her consistent development earned her national recognition in 2015 when she was selected for the Shooting Stars squad. As part of this program, Banting traveled to Dubai to compete against an England Academy side. Building on her domestic experience, Banting has also secured a contract with the Perth Scorchers for the Women’s Big Bash League.
